Born in the inspirational city of London: 1982. Juan-Carlos Cambon is a Foundation Art & Design and BA Honours Illustration graduate from Middlesex University. Knowing from the earliest age he wanted to be an artist, he followed his path and now creates across a range of art disciplines. Juan-Carlos Cambon aka Nipponaisuki [Japan/Love/Like] as his artist name suggests, creates his own unique artwork style inspired heavily by Japanese artforms and culture (ancient & neo modern) and mixing both Eastern & Western / traditional & digital techniques within his work. His Influences come from a myriad of different sources like fashion styles of Harajuku, traditional Japanese woodblock prints, modern graffiti styles to old Japanese mythology & Shinto folklore. His artwork also features calligraphy created exclusively for each piece by the talented Hiroko Fukuda of art project Wakoshi in Japan. Juan-Carlos Cambon’ s art is rapidly growing. Making his mark as a talented fresh evolving artist, he has created tutorial and Illustrations for Computer Art Projects magazine, as well as Illustration works in numerous other magazines. He was also selected as one of the winners of last year’s Japan Matsuri art competition and has received a “best of Western talent” feature from the illustrious NEO magazine. Projects he has worked on range from advertising, logo design, CD Art & design, character design and soon to be released manga novels commissioned and produced by himself. Inspired by everything around him Juan Carlos Cambon aka Nipponaisuki is constantly producing new works and commissions.
