Main Stage: 11:00am

The ceremony will take place at 11am on the Main Stage in County Hall, overlooking the Thames, with special guest His Excellency Mr Keiichi Hayashi, Ambassador of Japan and others (details will be released soon). Last year we had The Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport.

he Chairman of the Japan Matsuri Committee, Mr Keisaku Sano will formally declare the event open. The ceremonial cracking of a sake barrel will be followed by speeches from our main guests,His Excellency Mr Keiichi Hayashi, Ambassador of Japanas well as  representatives from the British government, the Japan Society, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the UK , the Nippon Club and the Japanese Association.
